Discover ... the {enea} blouse
Today I present to you the "Enea" blouse, a pattern from the Summer 2021 collection.
Enea is a pretty Basque name that can be translated into English as "mine" or "to me".
For a bit of history, the name of my patterns has changed themes over the years (it must be said that with the multiplication of independent pattern offers, it is difficult to find a name that is not already used).
My first patterns were inspired by flowers and plants (peony, bamboo...), then I moved on to pastry names (baby salambo, cookie...), then to English names (lovely, poppy...). This year I chose a more personal theme... Basque first names. Starting with two names that are dear to me, Enea and Nahia, which I will present to you here soon...
For several summers, I wanted to offer a tied blouse or shirt pattern. Several attempts ended up in the trash, as I was not satisfied with the result... and I was finally able to offer you the Enea blouse for Summer 2021.
Enea is therefore a blouse for girls aged 4 to 14.
The blouse is short and tied at the waist.
It is characterized by its round neckline, its round pleat on the front, and its ruffled cap sleeves. The back is buttoned.
It's a pretty blouse, perfect for summer!

In terms of technical difficulties, the pattern is rated 3 out of 5. Here are the different technical points that will allow you to judge if the pattern suits you:
As usual, you need to master the basics of machine sewing. Some finishes also need to be done by hand.
The back is closed with buttons/buttonholes. If you don't like sewing buttonholes, use snap fasteners. You can find plastic ones in all colors that are applied with pliers (from Prym, for example).
The ruffled cap sleeves require gathering. I advise you to consult the tutorial: sewing tutorial... pretty gathers. The pieces to gather are not very long, so it won't be very complicated.

With all that, there's no reason not to succeed!
For the fabric, I recommend cotton poplin, cotton batiste, chambray, or linen.

The pattern is offered in PDF format. After purchase, you download and print it at home. It is sent by email in digital format immediately after ordering.
The pattern is full-size and includes 16 pages (A4 format) to assemble. It comes with a detailed and illustrated instruction sheet (8 pages).
Seam allowances are included: they are 1 cm, so you just need to cut the fabric following the edge of the pattern and sew respecting the 1 cm seam allowance.
