You can make two versions: straight or gathered, depending on your preference.

Its trapeze shape makes the Poppy pinafore dress a timeless basic. It adapts to all seasons:

• For winter, sewn in velvet, twill or denim, it is worn with tights over a turtleneck or a long-sleeved T-shirt.
• For spring and summer, opt for a light cotton or linen for a fresh and comfortable look.

The model's simple style allows for all kinds of creative touches: patterned or flashy fabrics for a playful style, or a plain fabric for a classic and vintage look.

A modernized re-edition and new sizes

I took advantage of this re-edition to modernize the pattern and make some size adjustments: Baby Poppy Dress: sizes 3 to 36 months and Poppy Girl Dress: sizes 4 to 14 years.

And I added a new gathered model for those who want to move away from the classic version while still keeping a project easy to sew. The result? A timeless and customizable dress, perfect for all little girls.
