Discover... the {nahia} blouse

The "Nahia" blouse is the second pattern in the Spring-Summer 2021 collection. Another Basque name for this pattern... Nahia means "desired", "wanted", or "wished for".
Nahia is a blouse for girls aged 4 to 14. The initial idea was to offer a loose-fitting dress suitable for all seasons. I chose to offer a low-waisted blouse with short or 3/4 sleeves, with a slit and a loop closure at the back.
The long version can be worn alone in mid-season with a denim jacket, for example, if it's still cold in the morning. Or in winter with tights and a cardigan.
In the short blouse version, it's perfect with shorts or trousers.
The blouse pattern is available in the shop here.

The required sewing level is 3 out of 5.
You need to master the basics of machine sewing, and some finishes are done by hand.
The bottom and sleeves of the blouse are gathered: don't hesitate to use the method explained in my tutorial: sewing tutorial... pretty gathers if you're new to gathers!
The bottom is finished with a hem. I really need to prepare a photo tutorial to explain the different methods for sewing hems (it's been on the to-do list since...)
The back of the blouse is closed with a slit and a loop. You therefore need to know how to make an embroidered loop or follow my tutorial for sewing a fabric loop.
A step-by-step guide with photos is available on the blog: Nahia puff sleeve dress tutorial.

For fabrics, I recommend cotton poplin, cotton batiste, chambray, viscose, cotton double gauze, or linen.
You can print the list of necessary supplies here.

The pattern is available in PDF format. After purchase, you download and print it at home. It is sent by email in digital format immediately after ordering.
The pattern is full-size and includes 14 pages (A4 format) to assemble. It comes with a detailed and illustrated explanation sheet (9 pages).
Seam allowances are included: they are 1 cm, so you just need to cut the fabric following the edge of the pattern and sew respecting the 1 cm seam allowance.
