Today I'm presenting my Milia blouse or blouse-dress, my brand new pattern available in the shop here: milia sewing pattern .

Milia is a rather loose blouse pattern for little girls and young girls aged 4 to 14. The blouse is asymmetrical: the rounded back is longer than the front.

You can sew it in its short or long version, or choose its ruffled dress version.

You also have the choice between two types of sleeves: short ruffled sleeves or long sleeves gathered at the cuffs.

This makes it an all-season blouse: its short ruffled sleeves for fine weather or its long sleeves for autumn-winter.

Here is "Milia" in its short version - short sleeves: the bottom part of the blouse is gathered for pretty volumes.

And here is "Milia" in its dress version - long sleeves.

The upper back is closed with buttons.

The only technical points to master, in addition to the basics of machine sewing, are gathering, assembling the sleeves, attaching buttons and sewing buttonholes (which can be replaced by snap fasteners), rounded hems for the blouse version, and optional hand-sewn finishes.

To help you sew the "Milia" blouse, I'm preparing a step-by-step guide with photos that will be available on the blog in a few days. You'll see that the model isn't very complicated to sew!

The "Milia" pattern is only available in digital format. It is delivered in ZIP format (containing PDF files), to download and print at home.

The full-size pattern includes 28 pages (A4) to assemble. The detailed and illustrated instruction sheet includes 16 pages.

As always with my patterns, seam allowances (1 cm) are included.

As with the "Lorea" blouse pattern, this pattern includes 11 sizes from 4 to 14 years (4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 and 14 years).

I recommend a woven fabric. Choose a slightly fluid fabric for the bottom of the blouse to "fall" nicely.

For example, you can choose cotton (batiste or poplin), chambray, double cotton gauze, viscose, or a light linen.

The model is neither difficult nor long to make, but I have rated it 3 out of 5 because the curved hem of the blouse versions requires a little time and precision.
