Late Summer is one of the most popular patterns in the girls' collection, and many of you asked me for a version for little ones. So here is Late Summer bébé: an overall dress or wide dungarees. An essential to sew all year round!

A 2-in-1 pattern, for all desires

Late Summer bébé offers twice as many possibilities in one pattern:
- An overall dress, with a slightly retro charm and a subtly flared cut
- Wide dungarees, suitable for girls... and boys

Two comfortable versions, easy to put on, and designed to adapt to the movements of little ones.

A timeless piece, for all seasons

Both classic and modern in its shape and details, Late Summer bébé stands out as a staple in babies' wardrobes. The cut is simple but well thought out with its straps and side button tabs to make dressing easier.

And because a lovely design deserves to be worn all year round, Late Summer bébé adapts to all seasons: in warm weather, the dungarees can be worn simply with bare legs. In autumn and winter, they can be worn over a long-sleeved top and tights.

My versions of Late Summer bébé

Here are some of my Late Summer bébé creations to give you ideas and show you the versatility of this design.

For spring-summer, I sewed the wide dungarees in a fine denim from my stash (I can't remember where it came from, sorry). A combination of light grey and pink that I particularly love! I added a pretty label on the bib. Don't forget, for baby's comfort, it's essential to choose a fabric that will allow baby to move easily without discomfort.

For a summer version of the overall dress, I chose a cotton from my stash (again!). Simple yet charming, the print alone gives it all its appeal!

I sewed 2 versions of the wide dungarees, ideal for autumn (and winter, and spring, actually!): one in fine corduroy, the other in leopard print gabardine, a must-have print this year. As with denim, pay attention to the stiffness of the gabardine and the thickness of the corduroy you choose to ensure baby's comfort! The fine corduroy is from Cousette and the gabardine is from Atelier Brunette.

Finally, for a winter version, perfect for the holiday season, I sewed the overall dress in poly-viscose wool (from my stash, found at Cousette, I think). Late Summer is primarily designed as an everyday garment, but this version shows that with the right fabric, it can also become an elegant piece, ideal for special occasions.
