Looking for a PDF baby sewing pattern to make an adorable and comfortable outfit? The Pretty Bébé pattern is for you! Easy to make, it suits babies from 3 to 36 months. If you love sewing for babies with practical, adaptable, and well-designed patterns, you'll love discovering this one.

Pretty Bébé has returned in a re-edited version, true to the spirit of the original design: a simple cut, charming details, and finishes that make all the difference.

A model that is all about simplicity... and delicacy

Pretty Bébé is, first and foremost, a simple and elegant cut. What makes all the difference are the small details that give the pattern its style: a lovely cut-out at the back, discreet yet original, a double row of buttons (or not!), and delicate flutter sleeves (to choose between plain or gathered), for an extra touch of refinement.

A pattern with multiple possibilities

Pretty Bébé offers many variations, to adapt according to your desires or the season.
You can choose between a straight cut (classic A-line) or the gathered version for more volume, the top or the dress, with or without flutter sleeves, and even between plain or gathered flutter sleeves, to play with the details. A modular pattern, ideal for sewing several pieces from a single model, without ever getting bored!

My versions of Pretty Bébé

Here are some Pretty Bébé creations to give you ideas and show you the versatility of this pattern.

I made this gathered dress with flutter sleeves in one of my favorite Liberty fabrics: the Mustard Capel – a timeless classic I never tire of sewing! This lightweight fabric gives a beautiful fullness to the dress, while adding a refined and timeless touch.

I sewed the gathered top without flutter sleeves in a Mondial Tissus cotton poplin. This version is more streamlined, more modern, perfect for summer.

This second gathered dress with flutter sleeves is made from brick-colored double cotton gauze with gold polka dots. I don't remember its origin, but Les Coupons de Saint-Pierre regularly offer it in different colors. An airy fabric, ideal for the gathered version.

For this straight top with gathered flutter sleeves, I chose a soft, light pink muslin with gold polka dots from my stash. For an even more delicate touch, I added a gold bias binding sewn like piping on the flutter sleeves. This small detail makes all the difference and gives an elegant finish to the sleeves.

All versions are lined with either a lightweight cotton or the same fabric.

Perfect finishes, even without a serger

I designed this pattern to be as beautiful on the inside as on the outside. The finishes are neat and clean, even if you don't have a serger: the straight version is fully lined, for perfect interior neatness and an impeccable drape. The gathered version also offers beautiful finishes, which are simple to achieve.

You can find a complete video tutorial of the gathered version on my YouTube channel. It will also be very useful if you choose the straight version!

The Pretty Bébé pattern is available as a downloadable PDF in the online shop.
