Discover… the soft edelweiss mittens

Today I'm introducing the Edelweiss mitten pattern, which is available for free in the shop here.

"Edelweiss" is a fabric mitten pattern for children aged 4 to 14. Quick and easy to sew, they are perfect for using up your fabric scraps.

The perfect accessory for this winter!

The pattern is designed to be sewn in woven fabric, but you can use knit fabric without any problems. I recommend a warm fabric, such as wool, flannel, velvet, faux fur, minky, or quilted cotton, for example.
For the lining, a simple cotton is perfectly suitable. Do not choose two thick fabrics, as the mittens would be too small and uncomfortable.

To tighten the wrist, I have provided two loops made from ribbons attached to a button. To form these loops, you can use ribbons, bias tape folded in half, cords, or spaghetti straps, for example.

The pattern has been around for several years, but I chose to update it in January 2023: the sizes have been modified to match the new children's sizes I offer. I have also revised the shape and the instructions. I hope you like these updates!
