Discover... the {flower} shirt

It's my "Flower" summer shirt's turn, a pattern released in 2016, to be featured here on the blog. The shirt pattern is available in the shop here.

"Flower" is a summer shirt pattern for girls aged 2 to 12.

The shirt buttons down the front. It's offered with cap sleeves but can also be sewn without.

The top is fully lined and the bottom (which is sandwiched between the top and the facing) is slightly gathered.

Two collars are offered in the pattern: the Peter Pan collar and the classic flat shirt collar (these are half-collars that are "caught" in the shoulder seams).

The short-sleeved shirt is perfect for a chic summer! It can be worn with shorts or trousers, for example.

The pattern's difficulty level is 2 out of 5:

Basic sewing skills must be mastered.

Since the bottom is gathered, use the method explained in this tutorial: sewing tutorial... for pretty gathers. There are only a few gathers to make, so you should be able to do it without any problems.

The bottom is finished with a hem.

For fabric, I recommend a fluid fabric: a batiste, chambray, light cotton, plumetis, or crepe.

The pattern is offered in PDF format. After purchase, you download and print it at home. It is sent by email in digital format immediately after ordering.

The pattern is full size and includes 16 pages (A4 format) to assemble. It comes with a detailed and illustrated explanation sheet (9 pages).

Seam allowances are included: they are 1 cm, so you just need to cut the fabric following the edge of the pattern and sew respecting the 1 cm seam allowance.
